About this role

In Trelleborg, we work together for a growing successful community where life is good. Our 61 villages and 21 districts are creative meeting places buzzing with life. Here, we have ambitions, share our stories, and come as we are. This welcoming attitude extends to others in the same generous and curious manner. Welcome to join us on this journey! The Community Building Administration is embarking on an exciting transformation journey aimed at strengthening our ability to contribute to Trelleborg's growth and development. Starting January 1, 2026, we plan to implement a new organization—a modern and sustainable structure that prepares us to meet future challenges and opportunities. With a clear vision to be at the forefront, we create conditions for innovation, security, and long-term development. The new organization will consist of three departments: the Fire Service, the Building and Environmental Department, and the Planning and Geodata Department. Each department will have two units and will be complemented by a shared administrative unit, empowering us to work efficiently and in a coordinated manner. Together, we are shaping an organization that not only follows developments—we lead them. Our proactive spirit and commitment will make Trelleborg an even more attractive and sustainable place to live, work, and thrive. **Workplace** The Administrative Unit is a new support function within the Community Building Administration that will commence on January 1, 2026. The unit will consist of nine employees in roles such as administrators, committee secretaries, water council staff, and a project-employed digitalization leader. We also plan to enhance our team with additional expertise, potentially including a systems developer role depending on the budget. Together, we will create a modern and service-oriented function that ensures lawful case management, develops digital working methods, and contributes to sustainable community development. Our work is characterized by collaboration, quality, and a willingness to develop—we are building the future's administration from the ground up. **Job Responsibilities** As the unit manager for the administration, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and monitoring operations within administrative support functions, committee processes, and the administration's overarching processes. You will work to ensure quality, efficiency, and development in line with the administration's goals. You will be responsible for personnel, finances, and the work environment, ensuring that routines for case management, record-keeping, and committee administration function effectively and lawfully. The role involves translating the administration's goals into concrete activities and supporting the management in coordination matters. You will drive development in digitalization and work to create a service-oriented and sustainable organization. To succeed, you need to have the ability to create structure and engagement in daily operations. **Qualifications** We are looking for candidates with education in administration, social sciences, or equivalent. This is a requirement as the role involves responsibility for complex administrative processes and committee management. You have a few years of experience in similar tasks within a politically governed organization and are well-versed in municipal committee administration. Experience in developing administrative processes and digital working methods is essential to meet future demands for efficiency and quality. You have documented leadership experience with personnel and budget responsibility, which is crucial for leading the unit with confidence and stability. Experience in work environment management and knowledge of applicable laws are also required. Experience in municipal operations and change management is an advantage. Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are a requirement as the role involves responsibility for committee documents, formal documentation, and meeting leadership. You need to communicate clearly with employees, politicians, and partners, ensuring that complex issues are explained accurately and understandably. Proficiency in English is also advantageous. We value personal qualities such as clear and trustworthy leadership, the ability to build good relationships, and constructive communication. You are development-oriented, see opportunities in change, and contribute to a learning environment. You possess self-awareness, maintain focus even under pressure, and work solution-focused to achieve results. **Additional Information** We have already set fixed dates for interviews. The first interviews will take place on December 5, 8, and 12, 2025, and the second interviews will be conducted on December 15, 17, and 18, 2025. Our union representatives will also have the opportunity to meet with you on December 19. Candidates progressing to the second interview will also undergo a personality test.
