Social and Labor Market Administration You will join a modern, curious, and development-oriented administration with approximately 250 employees. We work towards a process-oriented approach where we focus on the user. It is self-evident for us to keep track of the outside world, and we are in the midst of a transition towards a sustainable social service in accordance with the Social Services Act (2025:400). Children and Youth Authority As one of our current unit managers moves on to new challenges after long and loyal service, we are now seeking you who want to lead and develop the Children and Youth Authority. The unit is led by two unit managers in shared leadership and consists of a reception team, three investigation teams, and a security team with approximately 36 employees. Our child and youth care is at the forefront - both in terms of legal certainty, our strength-based approaches, work environment, and organizational stability. Through Signs of Safety, we want to initiate change processes together with families, make safe risk and protection assessments, and involve children, parents, and their networks more in creating secure growing conditions. The unit employs staff with different competencies and backgrounds. What they share is a strong child perspective and great commitment. They work closely together, are unpretentious, and provide each other with significant collegial support. Senior social workers work closely with social workers, and there is always management on-site. The unit has external supervision and focuses on further developing the operations to do the best possible work for children and their parents. You will join a management team characterized by long experience, knowledge, and commitment. WORK TASKS As unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances. You lead with clarity and trust in shared leadership together with your unit manager colleague. You are part of process management groups where you lead the operations in a process-oriented manner together with manager colleagues from other units. You are also involved in leading the transition towards a sustainable social service in accordance with the Social Services Act (2025:400). You report to Johan Hellberg, operations manager who safeguards the strength-based approaches that Signs of Safety is based on and the legal certainty we as a societal actor are responsible for. We have support from quality developers, economists, HR, and communications professionals. The work involves frequent contacts with operations manager, management colleagues, employees, external partners, and sometimes with clients and their networks. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: • Social work degree or other academic education deemed equivalent by the employer • Experience in leadership within individual and family care • Good knowledge of current legislation and National Board of Health and Welfare regulations • Confidence in the leadership role with the ability to make decisions and communicate clearly • Ability to work systematically and to engage and inspire employees • Ability to build networks and collaborate with various actors • Driving license (B) Meriting: • Experience from various areas within individual and family care • Experience and interest in Signs of Safety • Experience in operations development and change management • Experience with process-oriented work approach Personal Characteristics: We are seeking someone with a genuine interest in leading and developing social work within the child and family area.
