About this role
The Swedish Agency for Psychological Defense protects the open and democratic society and free opinion formation by identifying, analyzing, and countering undue information influence and other misleading information directed against Sweden or Swedish interests.
The agency has over 80 employees and offices in Karlstad and Solna.
The operational department works to identify, analyze, and counter undue information influence directed against Sweden. The department consists of three units: two analysis units and one unit for operational response and preparedness. We now need to strengthen our work with a unit manager for one of the analysis units based in Solna.
**Job Responsibilities**
You will lead a team of qualified analysts in the work of identifying, assessing, and analyzing undue information influence and its effects. The unit's work primarily focuses on state threat actors.
The agency is engaged in intensive development work, and a central part of the unit manager's role is to, together with your employees and fellow managers, develop a more data-driven analytical operation. In the role of unit manager, you will have the opportunity to lead change initiatives with significant elements of digital development and innovation.
A key part of the unit manager role is ensuring the quality of the unit's reports and analytical products. You will also frequently represent the agency externally in contacts with cooperating authorities and international partners, as well as deliver various types of external presentations.
As a unit manager, you will have operational, personnel, and budget responsibilities. You will report to the department head and collaborate closely with fellow managers in the department leadership and other parts of the agency. Together, you will work towards a strengthened holistic perspective and good cooperation across all areas of the organization. In your leadership, you contribute to creating a work environment and culture where people thrive, develop, take responsibility, and collaborate effectively.
**Qualifications**
You have:
- A relevant academic degree in social sciences or similar.
- At least three years of managerial and leadership experience in the public sector.
- Experience working in analytical operations with a combination of time-critical production and longer lead times.
- Experience in driving extensive development work and leading change.
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Understanding of data-driven analysis.
- Documented knowledge of undue information influence.
- Documented knowledge of current Russian security threats.

**About the Employment**
The workplace is in Solna, but travel may be required. Scheduled on-call duty during certain evenings and weekends is part of the job.
We conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required. The agency is part of Sweden's total defense, and the position therefore entails military placement.
The employment is a permanent full-time position, with a probationary period potentially applicable. Start date will be agreed upon.
