The position of Unit Manager is available in the IT and Competence Department within the Elderly Care Administration. Here, we work to support the operations in matters related to scheduling, IT, and system support. We focus on developing the operations through digital solutions, competence supply, and competence enhancement, as well as managing staffing issues during acute and prolonged absences. JOB DESCRIPTION Unit Manager IT and System Management Welfare Technology at the Forefront Do you want to lead the digitalization within elderly care and health services? We are now seeking an engaged, operational, and strategic Unit Manager who wants to drive the development of our mission-critical IT systems together with a competent team. About the Position As Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team consisting of three system administrators and an IT coordinator. The unit works with systems that support elderly care and health services, areas where digital solutions make a real difference in people's lives. You play a key role in ensuring that the systems are reliable, user-friendly, and in line with legal requirements and operational goals. You will collaborate closely with both operational representatives, the IT department, and external suppliers. Your Mission: - Lead and coach the team in daily operations - Ensure effective system management - Drive improvement work and digital development - Collaborate with the operations to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions - Be responsible for planning, budgeting, and follow-up within the unit The position also includes project management and operational development tasks. QUALIFICATIONS Higher Education You should have a higher education that the employer finds suitable. Legislation You should have good knowledge of applicable legislation within the Social Services Act (SoL), the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), as well as information security and data protection. Leadership Experience Experience in leadership within IT, system management, or digital development. You have a good understanding of welfare technology and digitalization in care and support. Excel and Power BI It is advantageous if you have strong skills in Excel and preferably experience with Power BI.
