About the Company GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring harnesses, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The Aerospace division companies working on aircraft engine parts form Engines, and at the Trollhättan facility, advanced parts for aircraft and space rocket engines are developed and manufactured. They also work on engine maintenance. Job Responsibilities Engineering Team Lead, Hot Structures & Cases Are you an engineer passionate about technology, wanting to take responsibility for GKN Aerospace product flight safety and develop in a key role at the Trollhättan site? We are looking for someone who can strengthen our team with their commitment and expertise! In the Hot Structures & Cases Center of Excellence (CoE) department, GKN Aerospace works on developing new products and managing products in service for civil programs. As Engineering Team Lead, you will have a central role where you contribute your experience and expertise to the design team in pursuit of established goals. Together with the team, you will develop plans and ensure delivery according to time, quality, and expectations. You will collaborate with a cross-functional design team, where different competencies work together to achieve success. A significant part of the work involves building relationships and communicating – both internally with other functions and externally with customers and suppliers. The role offers you the opportunity to grow, broaden your knowledge, and develop within the design organization. Your Profile Responsibilities and expectations include: • Planning, driving, and leading the design team to deliver the right quality on time • Analyzing and breaking down requirements to create a balanced product based on technical requirements, manufacturability, and cost • Identifying resource needs to efficiently complete assignments • Planning and documenting product verification and certification • Conducting technical reviews, both internally and externally • Driving design changes, repair proposals, and manual development • Managing remaining deviations from our manufacturing, external suppliers, and in-service products Additionally, you are expected to actively contribute to the department's goals, strategy, and continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications and Personal Qualities We are seeking someone who enjoys taking significant individual responsibility and leading teams. You feel comfortable communicating with other functions, both internally within the company and externally with customers and suppliers. Moreover, you contribute to a positive atmosphere and serve as an inspiring role model for the team. Job Requirements: • Engineering degree (BSc or equivalent) • Experience in team/project management • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security protection regulations. For positions where GKN's customer has security classification requirements, this may, where applicable, involve specific citizenship requirements.
