Personal Assistant Position - 24-Hour Support
About Me:
A few years ago, I experienced a stroke resulting in hemiplegia and aphasia. I therefore require support with communication, mobility, and home assistance including cleaning and cooking. As my assistant, you'll essentially become my extended arm, while being creative and empathetic to help me explore my daily boundaries.
I am a calm person who enjoys social settings and have a large network of friends and acquaintances. I'm interested in film and queer politics, and I'm also passionate about video games and brewing beer. Currently, I'm dedicating significant time to rehabilitation and working to rebuild my physical strength to potentially improve my movement capabilities.
What I'm Looking For:
I desire an assistant who supports me in continuing to participate in all these activities. You should have personal maturity, respect for human equality, and be flexible and patient so we can develop a functional working relationship.
While relevant experience is appreciated, personal chemistry is most important. COVID-19 vaccination is preferred. Fluent Swedish is not required if you speak English.
Position Details:
- Employment Level: 50–100%
- Shifts: 12 hours each
- Ability to work day and night shifts
- 1-3 shifts per week based on schedule
- Opportunity to cover for other assistants
- Start Date: December 2025/January 2026
Shift Times:
- Day Shift: 08:00–20:00
- Night Shift: 20:00–08:00, with sleeping on-call from 00:00–08:00
Sleeping on-call means the assistant also sleeps during the night. Night shifts include reduced compensation per collective agreement. Evening and weekend work supplements apply.
