About the Position
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and documenting electrical solutions for CTC's products in line with the company's technical strategy, quality requirements, and development goals. The role contributes to ensuring functional, safe, and cost-effective electrical systems through cross-functional collaboration with development, production, purchasing, and quality departments.
Your tasks will include developing electrical schematics, connection tables, and component selection for new and existing products, as well as creating and maintaining technical documentation in relevant PLM and CAD tools. You will ensure that designs comply with applicable standards and directives, participate in development projects, and collaborate with production to optimize electrical systems. The role also involves technical analyses, risk assessments, validations, and work on cost reduction and continuous improvements in the electrical domain.
In this role, you are expected to work in line with CTC's values and business principles, take responsibility for quality, time, and cost in your work, and contribute to a solution-oriented and collaborative work climate. You will promote knowledge sharing between teams, act based on the company's shared values, and be committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
About You
To succeed in the role, we are looking for someone with a technical education in electrical engineering, preferably as a university graduate or equivalent competence. You should have several years of work experience as a design engineer. You should have good knowledge of electrical design and dimensioning and be familiar with working in CAD tools. You have a good understanding of existing electrical standards, safety requirements, and EMC, LVD, and CE directives. Experience with EMC testing is also meritorious.
As a person, you are structured and meticulous with the ability to document technical solutions clearly. You have an analytical and solution-oriented approach, enjoy collaboration, and communicate well with both colleagues and customers. The role requires good Swedish and English skills in both speech and writing, as well as a B driver's license.
