Here, you will have a broad and developing role in an engaged team where your expertise makes a real difference, both for the region's properties and for people's health. **Responsibilities** As an Electrical Engineer at Regionfastigheter in Region Västmanland, you will work on designing, developing, and optimizing technical systems related to electricity, lighting, power, backup power, and fire and safety installations in our properties—such as hospitals, health centers, and other healthcare operations. You play a crucial role in creating safe, functional, and energy-efficient environments that support healthcare needs. You will participate in both new construction and renovation projects, providing technical expertise in electrical engineering. This includes leading external designers, monitoring contracts, and ensuring that installations comply with legal requirements, electrical safety standards, and the region's specifications. Together with consultants, you will evaluate and improve existing electrical systems to achieve sustainable and efficient operations. In your role, you will collaborate with other project managers, property managers, operations technicians, as well as external consultants and contractors. You will participate in procurement processes and serve as technical support to other functions within the region's property organization. You will also be responsible for keeping relationship documents and other documentation updated and contribute to planned maintenance and reinvestment plans. Financial responsibility, including forecasts and follow-ups, is also part of the role. **About the Workplace** Regionfastigheter within Region Västmanland operates as an independent entity with approximately 40 employees and acts as a property developer. Our main mission is to provide maximum utility regarding space supply based on sustainable community development and to develop and manage the region's property holdings, ensuring the value and usability of properties over time. We manage about 400,000 square meters of owned premises throughout the county and lease approximately 40,000 square meters of space. The region is making significant investments to meet future demands for healthcare. Among other projects, we are building a new acute hospital in Västerås, covering about 75,000 square meters, expected to be completed in 2029. The investment pace is high, with around 200 investment projects in progress. Regionfastigheter handles an annual turnover of approximately 600 million SEK and a balance sheet total of about 3 billion SEK. A strategic space supply plan will ensure suitable and cost-effective premises in the long term to meet residents' healthcare needs. You should have experience working as an Electrical Engineer, and it is considered an advantage if you also have experience as a project manager. In this role, you need to communicate verbally and in writing with consultants, contractors, and colleagues, so good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. A valid driver's license (B) is necessary as travel within the county is involved.
