About this role
At Duvboskolan, we lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Through high expectations, a strong value base, and shared responsibility, we create a school where all students have the opportunity to develop, feel secure, and be part of a meaningful context.
Our three guiding principles – knowledge, safety, and togetherness – permeate our entire operation.
Duvboskolan is a municipal F-6 school with approximately 370 students. The school has a calm and pleasant atmosphere, with high satisfaction among students, guardians, and staff. The school's results are very good. Thanks to the relatively small size of the school, we enjoy good and close collaboration among colleagues.
We are now seeking 2-4 student support assistants as some of our staff will begin studying or take on other assignments.
The role of a student support assistant primarily involves supporting individual students throughout the school day, during lessons, transitions, breaks, and in after-school activities. As a student support assistant, your task is to help our students both socially and academically. You will work individually with one or several students in class and in after-school activities. You will collaborate in a team consisting of the responsible mentor and educators. The tasks vary, providing a diverse and challenging work environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has several years of experience working with children and youth with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).
- Has completed training in NPF.
- Has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Other pedagogical education.
- Training in special education.
- Knowledge of low-arousal responses.
It is essential that you enjoy working with children in need of special support. Furthermore, you have the ability to build good relationships with students. You are a trustworthy, confidence-building adult and a good role model. You are engaged, flexible, patient, and have a calm, pedagogical, solution-focused approach. You also possess good collaboration skills, are attentive, and communicate easily with students, colleagues, and guardians to achieve set goals.
