We are currently seeking a student assistant at Skärpeskolan. Skärpeskolan is a primary school (grades F-3) in Örnsköldsvik where the learning and development of students are the main focus. Responsibilities As a student assistant, you will help, support, and stimulate students in need of special assistance for learning, development, and independence. The work is carried out under the direction of the principal and in collaboration with the responsible teacher, based on the current curriculum, and aims to create conditions that enable students to learn, acquire new knowledge, and develop into independent individuals. The student assistant supports students throughout the school day, both in the classroom and during breaks, in after-school care, at mealtimes, and during other activities depending on the student's needs. We believe and want you to work towards giving the student the opportunity to become as independent as possible based on their circumstances. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma from the Child and Recreation program or another education that the employer deems suitable. Previous experience working in educational settings and with children with neuropsychiatric disorders is an advantage. Experience with low-arousal approaches is also a merit. It is important to us that you have a genuine interest in children's development and their desire to learn. We seek someone who can inspire and motivate but is also attentive to the student's needs. You possess empathetic abilities, are calm and patient. It is essential that you can collaborate with guardians and staff, as well as being solution-focused and maintaining a positive attitude.
