Kungsladugårdsskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 620 students.
The school is located in Majorna, close to many beautiful environments, including Slottsskogen and Svaleboskogen. It is also easy to access the city and Gothenburg's southern archipelago by tram and bus. Kungsladugårdsskolan's fundamental belief is that all children are everyone's children.
Responsibilities
We are now looking for a new student assistant for our special education group - Ankaret.
As a student assistant, you will be part of the team in the special education group, working closely with the teachers in the classes to which the students belong. You will support the students both during the school day and in after-school activities. Your role involves building relationships with the students, being attentive to their needs, and assisting them with schoolwork, activities, and transitions.
You will collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and other individuals involved with the student. You will be responsible for managing daily routines and participating in the development of methods and routines to ensure that students progress as far as possible.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has completed high school education, preferably in Child and Leisure or Health and Care. To succeed in this role, you need to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Experience working with students in special education groups is an advantage. We particularly welcome applicants who have worked with children and students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). The students require support in social interaction, communication, and education. Therefore, you need to be a confident, calm, and stable person.
You are relationship-oriented and maintain a professional demeanor towards students, colleagues, and guardians. You possess strong collaboration skills and are responsive to your colleagues. You reflect on ethical and foundational values. You have a strong commitment and the ability to recognize each student's opportunities and needs, often anticipating their requirements. To motivate, inspire, and challenge students, you utilize your ability to demonstrate humility, warmth, and set boundaries. You are attentive, solution-focused, flexible, and patient.
