Description Palettens Adapted Primary School is located at Vilboksskolan in central Olofström. We have both subject-area students and subject students. We are currently seeking a teaching assistant with experience working in an adapted primary school. At Paletten, we currently have 14 students. Our staff consists of nine individuals in various roles, including preschool teachers, teaching assistants, teachers, and special education teachers. We work in teams, and it is important for us to find the right person for our team. Responsibilities As a teaching assistant in an adapted primary school, you will work with students who have intellectual disabilities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teachers in the school, teachers in the after-school program, and other teaching assistants. You will help create structure, clarify instructions, and support students in their learning and social development. You play a vital role in creating a safe and inclusive environment where each student has the opportunity to develop based on their individual circumstances. You actively contribute to adapting teaching and the school environment to meet the students' needs. You are a stable adult role model who, with patience, attentiveness, and commitment, makes a difference every day. Together, we create a learning environment where students can grow and develop as much as possible. Qualifications You are a trained teaching assistant and have previous experience working with students with various disabilities. All our students have an intellectual disability and often multiple diagnoses. You are proficient in communication techniques and are accustomed to working with clear pedagogical methods.
