The Children and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. About Stensängsskolan
Stensängsskolan is a preschool-3rd grade school located in the heart of Stuvsta, with proximity to both nature and good communications. We are a school characterized by safety, community, and a strong will to create good conditions for each student to grow and succeed – both in school and in the after-school program.
Our operations are built on collaboration, commitment, and positive interaction. We are now seeking someone who wants to be part of our wonderful team starting from the spring semester 2026. The position is a fixed-term employment (Jan-June) at 100% with a high chance of extension. Start date: January 7, 2026.
Job Responsibilities
As a teaching assistant at Stensängsskolan, you will support all students in the class, but the primary task is to provide support in managing a student's diabetes, which includes helping with blood sugar checks, counting carbohydrates, administering insulin, etc. You will maintain close contact with guardians and collaborate closely with teachers, student health team, and after-school staff to create a safe, accessible, and positive school environment where the student can develop according to their conditions.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who:
• Has experience working with children or students with diabetes.
• Is confident, responsible, and has a calm approach.
• Has a good ability to create relationships and collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and the student health team.
• Is attentive to student needs and can create structure and security in daily life.
Education as a teaching assistant, childcare worker, or other pedagogical education is meritorious.
