Deromeskolan is a small school with approximately 120 students located in the community of Derome, 15 km north of Varberg. The school includes an after-school center integrated into its facilities.
In the after-school center, students are divided into age groups. At Deromeskolan, students attend grades F-3, and when they start grade 4, they transfer to Vidhögeskolan in Veddige.
At Deromeskolan, the activities are designed to give students real influence over working methods, work forms, and teaching content. The school actively works towards an inclusive school environment and systematic efforts against bullying, harassment, and for a good working environment.
Outdoor life is central at Deromeskolan, especially for younger ages. Outdoor activities are conducted year-round in the fantastic outdoor environment surrounding the school.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a teaching assistant who will primarily work with a specific student. Together with other colleagues in the team, you will be available throughout the student's entire school day, both in school and in the after-school center.
The work involves helping the student reach set goals and assisting in daily situations that might otherwise be difficult to handle.
You should be familiar with clarifying pedagogy and possess a low-affective approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a teaching assistant with experience and knowledge of working with TAKK (Total Communication) and visual support.
You should be able to take independent responsibility for implementing teaching based on planning.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
