Gullingeskolan is a dynamic school characterized by high expectations for students and staff. Here, many different cultures gather to learn from and with each other. We are a preschool-6th grade school with approximately 290 students, also encompassing an adapted primary school and after-school program. In our adapted primary school, 30 students from preschool to 6th grade are currently enrolled, all with different functional variations. The operation is built on individual planning while teaching students to function in group settings. We are centrally located in Tensta near public transportation. Within walking distance are forests and meadows, including Järvafältet, Eggeby Farm, Spånga Village, Spånga Sports Center, and Tensta Swimming Hall, which we use in our teaching. Our committed and competent staff sees collegial learning as a crucial part of developing our operation to provide our students with high-quality knowledge development. Your Role As a Teaching Assistant, you work to help students reach their maximum potential and develop according to their own conditions in line with educational goals. Together with teachers and other school staff, you work to create a developmental, meaningful, and positive environment for students. Students have different functional variations and require various support. Based on operational needs, work is performed with individual students or groups. Work is carried out both independently and together with other staff. Tasks are varied, diverse, and sometimes challenging. Tasks include: - Helping students find calm in their studies or assisting in finding individual solutions for knowledge acquisition - Supporting students in social situations during school hours and practicing everyday tasks - Supporting students in various activities during breaks, in changing rooms, during toilet visits, meals, or on excursions and outdoor days - Closely collaborating with teaching teachers, receiving instructions and working together on task execution - Maintaining close contact and collaboration with other school staff - Handling individualized medical care/helping students with self-care implementation Your Competence and Experience We are seeking someone who has: - High school education in child and leisure studies or healthcare, or equivalent post-secondary education - Documented experience (please specify years) working with the target group. For example, in adapted schools, daily activities, or LSS services - Good ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing - Experience with individualized medical care and self-care implementation It is meritorious if you have: - Training in neuropsychiatric functional variations, low-affective approach, alternative communication, movement techniques, diabetes, and epilepsy - Knowledge of intellectual disabilities We seek someone who is a secure person with empathetic ability to understand others' perspectives or situations. You have good collaborative skills with an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. You are self-motivated, able to structure and solve tasks independently. You are flexible and adapt easily to new circumstances. As a teaching assistant, you remain calm, stable, and controlled in pressured situations, maintaining a realistic perspective and focusing on the right things.
