Electronics Developer

We are now seeking an experienced electronics developer for a consulting assignment with our client Hitachi Energy in Västerås. The assignment involves technical leadership in hardware development for Grid Automation Bay Level Products. The role combines deep technical expertise in electronics with project management responsibilities in an international R&D environment. Work Tasks In this assignment, you will: • Lead and be responsible for hardware solution development in R&D • Work with requirement management, design, design reviews, prototype development, and verification • Develop technical requirements and specifications based on customer and product requirements • Collaborate with external suppliers (ODM) on new hardware module development • Participate in and lead design reviews (FMEA, EMC, DFT, etc.) • Work on testing, verification, validation, and documentation • Maintain and improve existing hardware solutions (EOL, cost optimization, production support) • Ensure processes and tools are followed according to established standards • Participate in cross-functional development teams and contribute to continuous improvements Candidate Profile To succeed in the assignment, we seek candidates with: • Master's or Bachelor's degree in electronics/electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience • At least 6 years of hardware development experience, including some in leadership or coordinating roles • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: analog design, EMC, electrical safety • Practical experience with electronic measurement, testing, and troubleshooting • Experience in project management for technical or development projects is meritorious • Good collaboration skills and experience communicating with various stakeholders (technicians, project managers, suppliers) • Fluent English, both spoken and written Additional Information • Start date and duration to be agreed upon • You will be part of an international and cross-functional development team • Work takes place in a structured environment with clear processes and quality requirements Are you interested in this assignment?
