Special Logistics Group (SLG) is the operational logistics resource within the Swedish Armed Forces' Special Operations Command (FMSF), with responsibilities in areas such as logistics management, host nation support, supply provision, transportation services, and technical services at both operational and tactical levels. SLG is also engaged in capability development within unmanned systems to meet the logistics needs of FMSF. SLG operates across the entire conflict spectrum with national as well as international missions in collaboration with other parts of FMSF. SLG has representations in both Örebro and Skövde.

Main Responsibilities
Working as an electromechanic at SLG involves solving tasks during missions, exercises, and daily operations. The tasks must be manageable across the entire conflict spectrum and will vary in nature. Creativity and flexibility are important personal qualities to achieve the expected results. Furthermore, personal competence development and physical training are significant aspects of daily work. We welcome motivated and engaged applicants who wish to develop within technical services.
After completing the selection process, you will initially undergo a training phase for several months before joining one of our operational units as an electromechanic. The main tasks include conventional and unconventional repairs of power supply equipment, battery power, generators, and other materials within FMSF where individual skills will be highly applicable. There are significant opportunities for development and influence within your own area of work. The work is primarily conducted in smaller groups or individually.
Qualifications
• Completed military service or basic military training
• Preliminary grades accepted for applicants currently serving
• Driver's license B
• Swedish citizenship
Medical Requirements
• No serious allergies
• No illnesses requiring continuous or recurring medication/treatment
• Reduced color vision may be accepted
• Acceptable visual acuity, correction allowed
• Normal hearing
Meritorious
• Civil work experience in electromechanics
• Basic military training (GU/GMU) with a technical focus
• Mechanic training, civilian or military
• Civil electrical qualifications
• Driver's license categories BE, C, CE
• Military driver's license for heavy vehicles
• Completed international mission
• Forklift license A-B-C
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

Selection
Those deemed suitable after the application process will be invited to selection tests. The selection tests are divided into two parts and will take place over approximately seven days at the end of March and in April 2026. The first part is a field component lasting three days. Those assessed as suitable after the first part will be invited to a second part where primarily the personal, psychological, and medical profiles will be tested. Information regarding working hours, travel, and equipment will be provided in connection with a potential invitation to the selection test.
Other Information
The position is a military appointment and requires an approved officer or specialist officer education. The position is full-time, permanent, with a start date of August 1, 2026, and training commencing on August 3, 2026. The role involves recurring business trips both domestically and internationally.
