Electrical Design Engineer

Are you a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in E-plan? Do you want to help shape the future of electrified marine solutions and promote a healthy planet for future generations? We are currently seeking a team member to enhance our Marine Electrification business line. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design in our customer projects, contributing your expertise and innovative design solutions for new products under development. Working closely with the project team, which varies in size depending on the project type, you will also participate in sales support and aftermarket activities. Furthermore, you will specify components for procurement and installation, coordinate with customers, classification societies, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery, and participate in FAT and support SAT during the delivery phase. Main responsibilities will include: • Designing and developing electrical and automation systems. • Specifying and integrating components, ensuring alignment with project requirements. • Verifying, approving, and providing input on supplier design drawings and documentation. • Coordinating with customers, suppliers, and classification societies throughout the project lifecycle. • Conducting inspections, FATs, and supporting SATs during delivery and commissioning. • Contributing to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies. • Supporting project planning, progress reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Background and skills: • Educational background in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or relevant work experience in similar positions. • Good knowledge of ePlan P8. • Knowledge of standards used during design and installation. • English language: fluent in speech and writing. It is an advantage if you also have: • Experience in marine electrical design and installation. Personal qualities: As a person, you are proactive and solution-oriented.
