Finance Director
Sesol is a leading player in Green-Tech and renewable energy and one of Sweden’s foremost providers of solar panel installations. Sesol offers comprehensive solutions across the entire value chain, from sales and planning to complete installation. Founded in 2019, Sesol has quickly expanded and grown from being a startup to a leading player in solar panel installations in Sweden.
Since the end of 2023, Sesol has a subsidiary in Norway. Starting from August 2025, Sesol will be part of the Soltech group, where integration work is currently underway and where the Finance Director is expected to be an active participant alongside the other management team members within Sesol.
As the Finance Director, you will have overall responsibility for the finance department at Sesol AB. The position is broad, and you will work with all aspects of finance while also being a key player in the management's efforts to drive and develop the company. You will report to the CEO and be part of the company’s management team. The finance department currently consists of an accounting team, controllers, and payroll office. The IT department also falls under the Finance Director's responsibilities.
The Role
As Finance Director, you are responsible for the company’s financial planning and monitoring, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, financial management, investigation, controlling, and accounting. You will support the operational activities through analysis and follow-up. You are also proactive and suggest improvements to develop key performance indicators in the right direction.
Main Responsibilities:
• Lead the finance function in harmony with the strategic roadmap
• Actively contribute to strategic decisions and business plans alongside the CEO and management team
• Focus on cost optimization and increased profitability through improvements in operational flows
• Represent Sesol in economic matters to the group
• Ensure a well-functioning financial control and accounting function
• Conduct forecasting and budgeting, as well as financial analysis and reporting
• Ensure compliance with the group's regulations
• Drive digitalization and efficiency of financial processes and system support
The role is based at the headquarters in Jönköping, where you are expected to spend a significant portion of your time.
Profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in economics from a university or college and at least 6 years of experience in a similar position in a medium to large company. We also prefer candidates with experience working in multifunctional teams.
You have a keen interest and the ability to understand the business, perform qualified analyses, and connect the numbers with the business in a commercial way. You have the ability to identify problems early and are solution-oriented. You are a person who, with commitment and energy, can develop a strong finance department through secure and modern leadership. Additionally, you are a strategic leader with a solid grasp of financial practices (reporting, management, accounting, and controlling).
You are future-oriented and have a genuine interest in driving improvement efforts. Furthermore, you are structured, results-driven, and have an analytical mindset while being receptive and possessing excellent communication skills in both spoken and written forms. You are also humble and not afraid to help where needed. In addition to Swedish, you are proficient in English both verbally and in writing.
