About this role

Are you interested in working in a broad role focusing on finance, payroll, and administration? Would you like to work in a small non-profit organization with international operations? Do you enjoy varied tasks and occasional high-paced work in a learning and inspiring work environment? Then you might be the right person to work as our Finance Manager. The role of Finance Manager involves having overall responsibility for the organization's finances, including bookkeeping, payroll, follow-up and reporting, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Annual financial statements, annual reports, audit, and tax returns are also part of your duties, as well as reporting to and ensuring compliance with all regulations from the Swedish Fundraising Control. You will be responsible for contacts with banks, auditors, and others. In this role, you will also work with the finances of our South Program, which involves financial control and follow-up in collaboration with our partners in India and Bangladesh, as well as reporting to our donors. You are also responsible for ensuring the proper handling and correct bookkeeping of finances in our second-hand shop and fundraising efforts. As part of a small organization, you will be part of a small office and also have contact with the organization's board. You will have good opportunities to influence both strategic and operational issues. To be considered for the position, we believe you: • Have relevant education/experience in finance. • Have experience with financial work in an association and/or small companies. Meriting are: • Experience with K3 regulatory framework. • Experience reporting to Swedish Fundraising Control regarding 90-account. • Experience applying for and reporting on public grants, especially state aid in the aid sector. • Knowledge of currency management, financial controlling, and financial work in an international context. You will join a work group characterized by humility, where we are quick to laugh, and you should not be afraid to pitch in where needed. You need to be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish and have good English skills. The position is part-time, estimated at 50%, located at Svalorna's pleasant office at Spolegatan 5 in Lund, adjacent to our second-hand shop. Salary within the range of 33,000–39,000 SEK calculated for full-time, depending on experience. We have a collective agreement with Fremia/Unionen. 6-month probationary period with good chance of transition to permanent employment.
