Description Hällefors Municipality is seeking a controller for our finance unit. With us, you'll have a varied and developmental job in an organization that focuses on collaboration, quality, and commitment. The Finance Unit is the municipality's central function for financial administration and consists of four employees under the leadership of the Finance Manager. We work together to support the entire municipality's operations in financial matters and develop processes that contribute to good financial management. Job Responsibilities As a controller with us, you'll play a central role in the municipality's financial planning, follow-up, and analysis. You'll be a key person in developing the municipality's financial governance. Your main tasks will be to: - Be responsible for the municipality's and group's interim and annual financial statements. - Drive and improve analysis work within the municipal administration. - Participate in developing the municipality's annual key performance compilation. - Complete the financial summary after closing the accounts. - Develop economic forecast models and support budget work. - Support our managers in preparing monthly full-year forecasts for respective operations. The role involves significant responsibility and great opportunities to influence work methods, routines, and development areas. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - Economic education at university/college level with a focus on accounting, finance, or equivalent competence deemed comparable. - 2-4 years of relevant experience working as a controller, economist, or other analytical role in finance. - Good knowledge of the Office package, especially Excel. - Ability to interpret, analyze, and communicate financial information clearly. As a person, you are meticulous, analytical, and self-driven. You enjoy working systematically and can meet deadlines even during intense periods. You are communicative, collaborative, and have a pedagogical approach. Meriting Factors - Experience with qualified financial work, preferably in the public sector. - Experience working in major business systems, especially Visma. - Interest in digitalization and development of financial processes.
