We are Seeking a Driven Economist with Experience from the Real Estate Industry

JLA Invest AB is now seeking an independent and experienced economist who wants to take full responsibility for daily accounting and financial administration in a growing group.
At JLA Invest, you will have a role that combines broad financial expertise with practical responsibility and close collaboration with owners and management.
Role
As an economist at JLA Invest AB, you will have a key role in the group's daily financial work. You will be responsible for ongoing accounting, reconciliations, invoicing, and payments for the parent company and selected subsidiaries, as well as serving as support to the CEO and owners on financial matters.
You will have primary responsibility for accounting, payroll, taxes, VAT, and monthly reports with profit recognition in the group's various projects. A central part of the role is to be proactive and driving in financial processes - ensuring that project managers submit accurate documentation on time and that accounting always reliably reflects the business.
You will collaborate with the group's external provider of accounting and reporting services for year-end closing, consolidated financial statements, and quarterly reporting, and maintain ongoing contact with auditors, banks, authorities, and external advisors.
The role involves independent work while being part of a small, tight-knit team working closely together. You will have ample opportunity to develop routines, improve financial flows, and contribute to an efficient and high-quality financial function.

Your Background and Profile
We are seeking someone with 5-10 years of qualified accounting experience who enjoys a role combining operational work with overall responsibility. Preferably with experience from owner-managed and entrepreneur-driven companies, where you are accustomed to working closely with the business and making independent decisions.
You have a strong understanding of accounting in the real estate or construction industry and are comfortable with profit recognition, project accounting, and application of K3 accounting standards.
We believe you:
• Have post-secondary education in economics or accounting
• Have excellent understanding of VAT, taxes, and accounting principles
• Have strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems like Fortnox
• Are experienced in collaborating with auditors, banks, authorities, and external advisors
• Thrive in a non-hierarchical, solution-oriented environment with short decision-making paths
As a person, you are meticulous, structured, and communicative. You are confident in your expertise and take responsibility for creating order, clarity, and quality in finance. At the same time, you have a practical and unpretentious approach and appreciate contributing where needed.
