About us
The Finance function at Chalmers is characterized by professional management of our financial control and administration. The function is represented both in the operational work at our 13 departments and in the campus-wide management with its support organizations.
This position is based in the Department of Electrical Engineering within the support department, which consists of approximately 20 people. Coordination occurs within the support functions, primarily with the department's seven economists as well as with other colleagues, such as administrators and center support.
We are looking for you who:
• Have experience in qualified financial work, similar to the tasks described in the advertisement.
• Have experience in accounting, budgeting, and closing work.
• Have experience working with finance and administrative support systems.
• Have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you also have:
• Documented experience of being responsible for the entire financial process.
• Experience in project accounting.
• Experience in qualified financial work within higher education institutions.
• Experience with EU accounting.
• Experience working with the support systems Raindance and Hypergene.

What the role entails
Main tasks include:
• Advising managers and project leaders on financial matters.
• Ensuring good accounting in accordance with internal and external regulations.
• Budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, and analyzing projects and operations.
• Financial project reporting to funders.
• Participating in the department's budgeting and closing work.
• Interpreting conditions from funders and other contractual parties.
