As an economist at the Health, Care and Social Services Administration, you will have the opportunity to work with both strategic and operational economic issues. The Health, Care and Social Services Administration's finance department consists of two units:
• Business Economists Unit
• Accounting Unit
Currently, we are seeking an economist for the Business Economists Unit. The unit consists of 16 employees, and here you will have the opportunity to develop in the role of an economist. The unit's mission is to be a natural and accessible collaborative partner for the administration's managers. We strive to work proactively and provide support in economic work with high competence and professionalism in a way that creates added value for the operations.

Work Tasks
As an economist with us, you will work closely with operations within the Health, Care and Social Services Administration, focusing on budget and follow-up. Like your economist colleagues, you will have a consulting function for the operations and their managers that you work with. You are expected to support, challenge, and inspire managers to perform their part of the administration's mission as efficiently as possible. In parallel, you will work independently on financial and operational management, investigations, system support, and training.
Your work will include creating analyses and presenting documentation to support various decision-making processes, developing analysis and follow-up tools, and initiating and coordinating further development and efficiency improvements of strategies and working methods in the economic field.
Qualifications
To be considered for the economist position, you have:
• Academic degree in economics of at least 180 credits
• Experience working with budgeting and analysis
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
To succeed in the role of economist with us, you must have strong analytical skills, a structured approach, and a service-oriented attitude driven by a desire to help and deliver solutions. We are seeking an engaged and motivated person who can work independently and collaborate well with others. You should have the ability to present information in a clear and pedagogical manner, both verbally and in writing. In addition to these qualities, we would like you to have a genuine interest in our operations.
