Economist / Project Controller

We at MRM are growing and are looking for an Economist / Project Controller. Are you a driven economist with a keen sense of structure, analysis, and detail? Do you have experience in project accounting and want to work in a role where you can combine finance, project management, and business development? Then you could be the one we are looking for! About the Role As an Economist / Project Controller with us, you will play a central role in supporting the organization with financial monitoring, reporting, and analysis of our projects. You will work closely with the organization and management to ensure accurate financial flows and contribute to well-informed decisions. Your main responsibilities: • Ongoing bookkeeping and account reconciliations • Management of supplier and customer invoices • Month-end and year-end close • Project accounting and monitoring of project results • Analysis and reporting to project managers and management • Budgeting and forecasting • System administration and development within project systems Qualifications: • Post-secondary education in economics, accounting, or similar • Several years of experience in financial work, preferably in a project-intensive environment • Good system proficiency, preferably experience with Next Project or equivalent project systems • Experience in accounts receivable, ongoing bookkeeping, month-end and year-end close • Excellent knowledge of Excel and business systems • Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written Personal attributes: To thrive in this role, we believe you are analytical, meticulous, and responsible.
