**Responsibilities**
Are you self-driven, passionate about order and structure, communicative, and genuinely interested in project and asset accounting? As one of our economists moves on to new challenges, the Investment and Rental Economics unit, one of the two units within the Finance Department, is now seeking an economist who wants to become part of the investment team.
The City Property Management has a broad management mandate and a turnover exceeding 4 billion SEK. The Finance Department serves as the supportive and governing function within the area of finance and actively works to contribute to more resource-efficient processes. The department is divided into two units based on areas of expertise: Operations and Business Economics, and Investment and Rental Economics. With the introduction of cost-based rent for its premises, the focus on financial issues in urban development has increased significantly. The management has a broad mandate and an investment portfolio of nearly 3 billion SEK annually.
As an economist with a focus on project and asset accounting, you will actively work with the management's project accounting and asset register. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring investment projects
- Activation and decommissioning of fixed assets
- Calculation of rental implications
- Component depreciation
- Year-end closing work
The role involves numerous contacts with both employees within the management as well as employees from other departments within the city. You are also expected to actively participate in the exciting development work of the Finance Department and the management. In addition to your work related to the management's investment process, we see it as advantageous if you can also contribute with broad accounting knowledge within the remaining areas of responsibility of the Finance Department.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in finance and 1-3 years of experience in project accounting or similar work. Experience in public administration, property organizations, asset accounting, and the financial system Unit4 Agresso is an advantage. You also need to have good knowledge of Excel.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong organizational skills, be structured, engaged, meticulous, and analytical. As you represent the management in contacts with internal and external partners, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly with others. You have the ability to build trusting relationships and work with integrity. You are also driven, solution-oriented, and capable of identifying development opportunities in your work.
