About the Organization
Economic Service is the joint service center for financial services in the Västra Götaland Region.
As an economist with us, you'll have the opportunity to develop both the organization and yourself. You will be part of a unit of approximately 20 people, performing varying accounting assignments based on our clients' needs, which can change over time and include several different types of tasks within the financial area.
About the Work
Work tasks primarily involve ongoing accounting for several of the Västra Götaland Region's administrations. You will also be involved in year-end closing work, system management, and other equivalent tasks. An important part of the work is performing various types of controls to ensure that accounting is correct and follows applicable regulations.
You will work together with colleagues to provide professional support to the organizations. The role offers the opportunity to work broadly within finance in a large organization, while contributing to the development of our working methods and approaches.

About You
We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics, preferably with work experience in financial work in the public sector, or equivalent education and experience. You should communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We appreciate proficiency in the Office package, especially Excel.
It is meritorious if you have knowledge of Raindance and familiarity with the Västra Götaland Region's financial processes.
