Economist Hjo Municipality – Finance Unit Are you an analytical and service-oriented economist who wants to combine operational accounting work with strategic advice and development? Hjo Municipality is now seeking an engaged economist to join our finance unit. With us, you will be part of a close-knit team working towards sound financial management and the development of the municipality. About the Role As an economist with us, you will have a varied and developing role where you will: • Coordinate the municipality's procurement work in close collaboration with the procurement unit of Skövde Municipality. • Act as the municipality's contact person for insurance matters. • Participate in central financial processes, such as accounting, reconciliations, and the development of routines. • Be responsible for the municipality's accounts payable. • Contribute to the development of the finance function's working methods, system support, and processes. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in economics with a focus on accounting, at least at the bachelor's level. We would prefer if you have experience in procurement and ideally also in insurance matters. You have a strong ability to analyze financial data, draw conclusions, and communicate clearly and pedagogically. You are confident, self-driven, and service-oriented – you take responsibility, prioritize effectively, and provide support to the operations. You have experience working with financial systems, preferably in Unit4 ERP7. As an economist in Hjo Municipality, you will be part of a small, well-functioning team of seven colleagues.
