Workplace At the Economic Crime Authority in Stockholm, we have been combating system-threatening economic crime and the criminal economy for the past 25 years. We work in investigation teams with multidisciplinary expertise. Your colleagues include prosecutors, economists, police officers, analysts, and forensic experts.
As an economic crime investigator, you will be a driving force in criminal investigations and will be responsible for structuring, visualizing, and analyzing investigation materials, as well as presenting and advocating this information to the prosecutor. In your work, you will collaborate in various investigation teams and have numerous external contacts with, for example, lawyers, banks, and authorities. You will also conduct interviews with suspects and witnesses. In criminal investigations, personal coercive measures and other coercive measures, such as searches of homes and premises and the seizure of items like phones and computers, are used based on decisions from prosecutors and courts. In these investigations, as an economic crime investigator, you will conduct interviews with individuals who are detained or arrested and analyze information from seizures, including with the support of various IT systems. Work in our criminal investigations is complex and challenging and places high demands on your analytical abilities.
Qualifications We are looking for candidates who have:
- An academic degree in law or economics, or equivalent knowledge and experience acquired in another way that the employer deems relevant.
- At least a couple of years of work experience after completing your education, where the work has had a focus that the Economic Crime Authority considers relevant.
- A good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

- Experience working with investigations related to economic crime or property crime (We consider this highly meritorious).
- Knowledge and experience in enforcement law.
- Knowledge of accounting.
- Good proficiency in English.
