About the school:
As Principal, you hold overall responsibility for running the school in accordance with current regulations and serve as the school's educational leader with responsibilities for personnel, finance, results, and work environment. You are responsible for the overall pedagogical development of the school, ensuring that teaching aligns with national school goals.
You will report to the head of the institution and be part of the institution's management team. You will also be a member of the national group of principals, which consists of 22 principals led by the School Director and the School Division at the head office.
SiS Youth Home Eknäs currently has 27 places for school-age boys aged 12-16 with psychosocial issues, as well as violence and substance abuse problems. Eknässkolan is a primary school, but it also accommodates older students who are enrolled in introductory programs, either individualized options or language introduction, as well as students within adapted school forms. The majority of students at SiS have faced challenges in their studies and require significant support during their education. Instruction is given in smaller teaching groups.

The role of Principal requires strong collaboration skills both within the institution and with partners in social services and education authorities to ensure continuous schooling where students' right to education is central.
You should also possess:
• A teaching degree
• Principal training or at least commenced principal training
• Experience working as a principal or assistant principal
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is beneficial if you have:
• Experience working with students in need of special support, ideally in institutional care
• Qualifications as a special educator/teacher or career and study advisor

Full-time, daytime. Permanent employment, the position begins with a six-month probationary period.
