The role of Business Area Manager for Fresh Produce is a key position with extensive personnel and financial responsibilities. The entire Fresh Produce business area includes departments where products have a short shelf life and require special handling. This area encompasses the manual counters for meat, fish, deli, and delicacies, as well as the bakery and bread departments. Your area also includes the "in-house production" department, which is their kitchen for catering and self-produced food. You will lead one of the store's most important departments and be directly responsible for coaching, developing, and driving a team of approximately 45–50 engaged employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your primary task is to ensure that the business area delivers in accordance with the budget and business plan through present leadership, focusing on sales, margins, employee satisfaction, and customer satisfaction. You will drive the operational work, develop routines and processes to ensure optimal operations and high quality (e.g., HACCP/hygiene). You will have full responsibility for your area's budget, results, and product range development. We are looking for a clear, structured, and inspiring leader who enables your team to grow and exceed expectations.
This includes tasks such as:
* Leading and developing a team of 40-50 employees in fresh produce
* Driving sales and business development within your area of responsibility
* Ensuring high quality and availability of fresh produce
* Coaching and developing employees through feedback and support
* Actively participating in the store's operational management team and decision-making
* Working with scheduling and staffing for optimal operations
* Analyzing sales data to identify areas for improvement
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has a strong ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks.
- Has previous experience in sales and service.
- Has solid retail experience, preferably from the grocery sector.
- Has documented experience in budget and result responsibility.
- Has experience in personnel management, ideally having led larger teams previously.
- Has good knowledge of purchasing, pricing, and sales.
- Is very computer literate, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and business systems.
- Is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, as it is required in daily operations.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Formal education in leadership.
- Experience working with HACCP, food hygiene, and quality assurance.
- Previous work experience internally at ICA.
- Experience handling issues related to workplace environment and labor law.
- Skills and experience in effective presentation techniques and rhetoric.
