Your Workplace
The Finance and Procurement function is the municipality's central support for issues related to accounting, budgeting and follow-up, purchasing and procurement, as well as financial management. The function consists of just over 20 employees. The position is located within the central finance and procurement function at the municipal office.
You will support the operations in financial processes such as budgeting, follow-up, year-end closing, and analysis. The work also includes participating in investigation and development assignments conducted by both the function and the operations.
Your Assignment
We are now looking for a driven economist for the primary school operations, which is part of the Education and Culture sector. As an economist with us, you will have a varied and developing role where you are responsible for financial follow-up, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting. You will work closely with the operations and serve as a support to managers and employees on various financial matters. The role involves presenting financial information in a pedagogical and easily understandable manner and providing decision-making support that makes a difference. You will also participate in development projects and investigations that strengthen the municipality's financial management and contribute to creating cost-effective processes and clear analyses. Requirements for the Position
We are looking for someone with a university degree in finance. You have previous experience in similar roles within the public sector. You are an experienced user of the Office suite, especially Excel, and other IT systems in your daily work. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
For employment, a criminal record extract from the police must be presented, and a background check will be conducted.
