Svenljunga Municipality Seeks Operations Technician for Water and Wastewater Department Svenljunga Municipality is looking for an operations technician for the Water and Wastewater (VA) Unit. The unit consists of 12 people. We plan and manage water and wastewater operations. We maintain water facilities, produce and distribute drinking water, manage and treat wastewater and stormwater, and contribute to the municipality's community development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a water and wastewater operations technician, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. The tasks are highly varied, with good opportunities to influence your work. The role includes operation and monitoring of water and treatment plants, pump stations, pressure boosters, and reservoirs. Additionally, the position involves sampling, preventive maintenance, and repair work on water and wastewater facilities and associated mechanical equipment and instruments. On-call duty may be part of the position. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking candidates with education in water and wastewater management, operations/maintenance, or similar work experience. The position requires a B driver's license with manual transmission. Competence in plumbing, electrical, control, and regulation technology is advantageous. Experience with Svenskt Vatten's wastewater and water technology courses is a plus. As we work with multiple data systems, computer proficiency is required. As a person, you are practically minded, service-oriented, and enjoy working in a team while also capable of working independently.
