About this role
We are looking for an Operations Technician who wants to help ensure the daily operation and monitoring of production facilities within an established energy production business. Together with other colleagues in the shift team, you will work towards stable, safe, and efficient operations. The role involves carrying out tasks within the operations organization in a productive manner and in line with the company's values, strategies, and goals—where safety and working environment always come first.
**Main Responsibilities & Duties**
As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving and handing over relevant information during shift changes
- Starting and stopping facilities and subsystems
- Conducting rounds in the facilities
- Following applicable operating instructions, safety procedures, permits, and conditions in all operational cases
- Participating in permit work, such as work permits and hot work
- Performing troubleshooting and corrective maintenance
- Reporting and logging components that require action
- Contributing to knowledge exchange and identifying training needs within the shift team
- Actively working towards a safe and secure working environment through risk-aware choices and exemplary behavior

**Requirements Profile**

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Post-secondary education or experience as an operations technician, operations engineer, marine engineer, or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience from similar work in a combined heat and power plant
- B driver's license
**Start Date and Application:**
Start Date: January 5, 2026
End Date: March 31, 2026. Possibility of a 3-month extension until August 31, 2026
Scope: Full-time, i.e., 40 hours/week. Shift work.
