Operations Technician for Production Facilities

Your Role We are strengthening our operations organization with two new operations technicians. Right now, it’s an exciting time as we are commissioning our new biomass-fired steam boiler at the Rya combined heat and power plant. Our shared mission within the operations organization is to ensure optimal operation of our facilities for the production of electricity, heating, and cooling. As an operations technician with us, you will work alongside your colleagues in a shift team, and your main responsibilities will include: - Monitoring, operating/control, and optimizing facilities/systems for electricity, gas, cooling, and heating. - Optimizing individual production units. - Starting/stopping production facilities and systems. - Decommissioning/commissioning production facilities, systems, or individual components. - Participating in regulatory inspections, operational tests, etc. - Managing permits for production facilities. - Conducting rounds according to established legal requirements for district heating, cooling, and biogas facilities. - Participating in maintenance during shutdown organizations; decommissioning and commissioning, conservations, test runs, etc. - Contributing to the development/updating of procedures and instructions. - Proposing measures regarding technology, methods, and equipment for the facilities. - Participating in other tasks within the organization as needed. Typically, the work is organized in a 3-shift system, but daytime work may occur as needed, for example, during maintenance. Your Team You will belong to one of the operational units within the Operations department and be placed in one of our six shift teams. Magnus Sporrong is one of the unit managers within Operations. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of operations and safety. You have good knowledge of the interdependencies of various systems and their impacts on each other, such as district heating and cooling. You have worked for a few years as an operations technician or in a similar role in production and distribution facilities (heating plants), and it is advantageous if you have experience participating in projects/technical investigations. You have a degree as an operations technician with a focus on combined heat and power or equivalent qualifications. Since our facilities are located in different areas of Gothenburg, you need to have a valid driver's license (category B). You thrive when analyzing disturbances and various courses of action. You are responsible, take initiative, and have a high safety awareness in your work performance. You enjoy solving problems and working on many different production-related issues, both independently and in collaboration with other functions.
