Description The Business Area of Heating & Cooling consists of four units: Distribution, Maintenance, Operational Management, and Strategic Management. Together, we work to deliver local, secure, and renewable heating, cooling, and electricity – to homes, schools, and workplaces for over 50,000 residents of Karlstad. Responsibilities As an operations technician, you will be part of the operational management of our facilities. Your tasks will include rounds, monitoring, and troubleshooting in the production of district heating, electricity, and cooling. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting deviations and planning and executing shutdowns and restorations in our facilities. Working with us means quickly becoming part of the team, being flexible, and creating real value for the residents of Karlstad. You will actively participate in the work of developing the team alongside your colleagues. At Karlstads Energi, safety and working environment are top priorities. Therefore, it is essential that you also work for your own and others' safety. The work is primarily conducted through continuous shift work with scheduled on-call duty. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a technical interest who enjoys combining this with excellent service. We seek candidates with post-secondary education in energy, operational technology, or other qualifications that we, as an employer, consider equivalent. We prefer candidates with experience in similar tasks within the power or process industry. Since the role involves many points of contact, your ability to collaborate and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English, is important. You should also have good knowledge of the Office suite. The role involves several internal contacts, and you need to enjoy meeting people. A B driver's license is required as travel is part of the job. As an employee, you will be part of Karlstads Energi's crisis and emergency organization. Upon hiring, a mandatory alcohol and drug test will be conducted, and valid identification must be presented at the interview. A probationary period may apply.
