The Fortifications Agency in Luleå is seeking additional operations technicians with electrical qualifications. Your Everyday Life – Strengthening Sweden's Total Defense

Region Norr manages the Fortifications Agency's property portfolio in Sweden's four northernmost counties: Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, and Västernorrland. The region currently employs over 110 people distributed among management, operations, and support functions. The property portfolio in the Luleå Inner operations district is diverse, consisting of everything from aircraft hangars and workshops to restaurants, barracks, car wash facilities, cold garages, and similar premises. The operations district conducts inspections and maintenance as well as troubleshooting and repairs of properties and property technical systems, as well as various types of outdoor environments.

As an operations technician, you primarily work independently but also collaborate in teams on the operation and maintenance of our portfolio of fortification facilities. The role includes daily customer contact and collaboration with the Armed Forces and our subcontractors. Additionally, you will participate in smaller projects. The work is performed within the district with a base in Luleå, and there may be travel within the district. Standby duty may be included in the position.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with electrical qualifications and BA experience, technical training in operations or property management, or equivalent competencies acquired through work experience that we assess as comparable to the position. You have experience working with the operation and maintenance of technical systems and properties. You possess good administrative skills and proficiency in using support systems. You also have strong skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. A Class B driver's license is a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience with property automation and/or ESA. Additionally, work experience where you have independently managed fault reports, operational optimization, and troubleshooting is also advantageous, along with any education or qualifications in electricity, control, and regulation (BA).

The position is a permanent employment, with a probationary period potentially applicable. As a permanent employee, you will be assigned a war position. The job location is in Luleå. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security review with a background check will be conducted prior to employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
