About the Unit
The Swedish Armed Forces’ Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) has the primary responsibility for the operation and maintenance of command support systems at all levels of readiness, both nationally and internationally. The unit you will belong to is led from Örebro, but the work is based in Stockholm.
Main Responsibilities
The role of IT technician with a focus on user support involves a wide range of support-related tasks. You will play an important role in ensuring a well-functioning and up-to-date IT environment for users, together with your colleagues. Your tasks will include user support with client installations, troubleshooting, and often on-site assistance for users. Some tasks will also involve diagnostics, cable patching, and documentation of network components.

Requirements
Qualifications
• At least a secondary education with an IT focus and/or equivalent experience
• Experience working as a user-facing IT technician
• Experience with installation/troubleshooting of client hardware
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Windows client platform
• Strong ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
• Valid driver's license, minimum class B
Meritorious
• Experience in user support within the Swedish Armed Forces
• Experience and knowledge of cable patching, switches, and routers
• Experience with installation/troubleshooting of mobile phones
• Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces’ signal protection equipment
• Experience with Microsoft server or other Microsoft products
• Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) or equivalent knowledge as assessed by the employer

Other Information
Employment Type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the authority.
Employment Rate: Full-time.
The position is civilian.
Work Location: Stockholm. Travel may occur, as well as work during irregular hours.
