Become our new Operations Technician in Water Treatment and contribute to a healthier Gothenburg!

Then you are the person we are looking for in this important water treatment role!
With us, you'll have the chance to work with our swimming, ice, and sports halls across Gothenburg. You will work independently with significant personal responsibility, but also be a valuable part of a competent team of approximately 27 employees in the Operations and Technology unit, which includes operations technicians, engineers, carpenters, masons, customer service representatives, and a mobile function.
As an operations technician with us, you'll have a varied and responsible job ensuring our facilities operate optimally. Your primary focus will be on the operation and maintenance of our facilities' water treatment systems. You will, among other things:
- Be responsible for water sample control to ensure the highest possible water quality and regulatory compliance.
- Perform ventilation checks and filter replacements.
- Act as a service and material requester and follow up on completed work.
- Handle follow-up and ensure compliance with all authority requirements and safety regulations.
- Manage incoming incident reports. Perform troubleshooting of facilities and conduct recurring checks and repairs, including urgent service interventions.
- Serve as backup and collaborative partner to your fellow operations technicians.
You will be based at one of our facilities but will work mobile across the city. Working hours are Monday – Friday.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with a completed high school education and further training as an operations technician specializing in electricity, ventilation, or plumbing. You should also have training in pool and swimming hall operations and a Class B driver's license. Previous experience working with equivalent facilities such as operation of substations, ventilation systems, and swimming pools is meritorious. Basic electrical safety training is also advantageous.

You perform your work to the best of your ability, ensure tasks are done correctly, complete work on time, and follow up on results. The position requires good flexibility to switch between holistic and detailed perspectives, and enjoy being challenged. You have strong collaborative skills and contribute to the work group and other collaborations in your professional role. Within the scope of your assignment, you can also act independently as situations require. Your communication skills are also crucial for this role, where you convey information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, ensuring your message is understood.
