About this role

Do you want an important role where you contribute to ensuring stable and reliable communication in a critical public service? LFV is now seeking several service-oriented operations technicians who want to work with the operation, maintenance, and installation of TETRA-related equipment in an environment where quality and safety are paramount. You will be working on a new assignment within critical communication that includes troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance of the national radio communication system Rakel. At LFV, you and your colleagues will ensure reliable and secure communication for essential public functions in areas such as public order, safety, health, and total defense. About the position As an operations technician at LFV, you will work with the operation, maintenance, and further development of equipment related to the TETRA network. This is a varied role with both practical and technical elements where your contribution is crucial for communication to function around the clock. The role offers extensive skills development and good opportunities for growth in both technology and responsibility. The work includes field operations where you may need to quickly respond to site visits during operational disruptions or planned assignments. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, maintaining close contact with customers and technical teams. Your main responsibilities • Troubleshoot, maintain, and install technical equipment, both independently and in teams. • Conduct complex fault analysis and resolve various levels of network issues to ensure high system availability. • Ensure functionality and availability of Radio, Transmission, and IT equipment. • Implement performance improvements and upgrades of both hardware and software systems. • Create documentation and technical reports. Your work is characterized by professionalism, quality, and a high level of service. We are looking for someone who is technically inclined and wants to develop in multiple technical areas. You work in a structured and communicative manner, focusing on documentation, accuracy, and a strong safety awareness. The role suits you if you enjoy varied tasks and contribute to the team's overall success through engagement and responsibility. We expect you to have: • Experience with telecommunication systems, focusing on radio/mobile networks and power supply. • Experience with radio technology, transmission, and IT infrastructure or equivalent. • Ability to work at heights, including mast work for radio links. • Experience with technical installation work. • Experience in server operations and IP networks. • Independent fieldwork with an emphasis on quality and documentation. • A valid manual B driver's license. • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. • A three-year upper secondary education in technology or equivalent. Meritorious for this position: • Experience working in a TETRA environment. • Experience with radio technical measurements on antenna systems and radio links. • Experience working with critical public infrastructure. • Experience with firewalls and routing or equivalent. • Experience working in project formats or technical improvement teams. • Knowledge of virtualization (e.g., VMware), server, and storage solutions. Additional information The positions are permanent employment with the work location in Stockholm. On-call duty is included, and overnight stays may occur as part of the job. Before employment, LFV conducts a security clearance that includes a background check, security interview, and drug test. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
