About this role

Do you want to work with one of the world's most advanced and modern simulator systems for tank combat? The position involves taking responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the tank simulator. Would you like to be involved in the training and development of the army's heaviest units? About the position Serving as an operations technician at BTA122 often requires quick responses, an understanding of the operations, and the ability to adapt to situations to ensure the primary goal of training the unit can continue. As an employee at BTA122, you will often work closely with a small team. You will occasionally have significant responsibility and solve tasks independently, as well as have frequent contact with soldiers and training troops in the simulator. You will plan and carry out preventive maintenance and care at BTA122, as well as perform corrective maintenance in the event of faults during combat training in the simulator. You are a vital resource for the training to be conducted, as you have control over the simulator system's status. Qualifications • Upper secondary education • Good computer skills and experience working in a network environment (function, material security). • Strong knowledge and skills in working with computer installations (Windows, Linux). • Ability to execute commands and run installations, configurations, copying, and calibration in Windows and Linux environments. • Strong knowledge and skills in troubleshooting hardware and software. • Strong knowledge and skills in troubleshooting and repairing electronics and circuits. • Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. • Driver's license (class B, manual). Meritorious • Strong knowledge in electronics. • Soldering skills. • Mechanical experience. • Completed military service. Personal qualities You are responsible, service-oriented, and proactive. You have the ability to identify needs and work independently to ensure the facility's operation. You demonstrate good collaboration skills with colleagues and training units. You show strong social skills and effective communication abilities with those you encounter in your role. We place great importance on personal suitability.
