Operations Management Engineer

Electricity must flow, regardless of the weather, time of day, or events in the surrounding world. We are now seeking an Operations Engineer who wants to take responsibility for Gothenburg’s electricity supply while developing in a dedicated and knowledgeable team. Your Task As an Operations Engineer, you are a key person in securing the operation of our electrical grid. You monitor the status of installations, manage alarms, and initiate the appropriate actions during disturbances. Together with our field technicians, you prioritize responses and ensure that power is restored quickly when issues arise. You will also plan and lead network reconnections, write operational orders, and inform customers ahead of planned work. This is a job where you truly make a difference – for companies, hospitals, public transport, and everyone living in Gothenburg. Your Team You will be part of the operations control center, where we manage and monitor the electrical grid for the entire Gothenburg area. The work is carried out in three shifts, and you will collaborate with ten other operations engineers in a tight-knit team that supports each other around the clock. In total, we are about 20 colleagues who share a common mission: to provide secure electricity for the entire city. We believe that you have: - Several years of experience in electricity distribution or operations, preferably with insight into the work from an operations control center. You are accustomed to making real-time decisions and have a strong safety focus and in-depth technical understanding. - A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another technical qualification that we deem equivalent. You may also have acquired similar knowledge through extensive professional experience in electrical operations, grid monitoring, or related fields. - Previous experience as an operations engineer / electrical operations leader is advantageous. Regardless of title, you have worked with monitoring, control, and optimization of the electrical grid and have a good understanding of the applicable regulations and safety guidelines.
