About the Position
As an operations engineer, you will be involved in daily activities supporting the operations organization. You will observe and identify what needs to be implemented in our facilities and then drive actions together with operations technicians to prevent failures and create continuous improvements. Work tasks include:
• Being on-site to identify operational measures that need to be implemented
• Managing operational projects and minor investment projects
• Participating in procurement and developing project directives/investment documentation
• Planning, preparing, and coordinating corrective and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment together with operations and maintenance personnel
• Ordering external maintenance services and coordinating implementation as needed
• Documenting maintenance information in our maintenance system
• Participating in projects to improve and optimize company facilities
As an operations engineer, you will report to the section manager and belong to our Wastewater Operations section responsible for operating 10 treatment plants and approximately 120 pump stations within Uppsala Municipality. Your workplace will be at our largest treatment plant, Kungsängsverket.
Qualifications
• Professional experience in operations, preferably within water and wastewater
• Good skills in reading drawings and handling technical information
• Good computer skills
• Driving license (B-class) is required
• Experience with maintenance systems is merit

Additional Information
A significant part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure since we supply Sweden's fourth-largest city with drinking water. For this position, a security clearance with register check will be conducted before employment. You should also be prepared to be war-placed within Uppsala Water and Waste's role in total defense. Uppsala Water applies a 6-month probationary period.
