The Technology and Community Service Administration carries out critical societal work every day, such as managing, maintaining, and developing streets, parks, properties, and sports facilities, cleaning, cooking, collecting garbage, delivering water, and treating sewage. We also help Motala Municipality grow sustainably with a holistic perspective and create conditions for doing things correctly in a simple and legally secure manner. The Operations Area of Operations is responsible for managing and maintaining all municipal fixed assets, ensuring that all maintenance measures are planned according to existing needs and allocated budget. The area is also responsible for urgent interventions when necessary to ensure facilities function on a daily basis. This responsibility includes cleaning all municipal premises. The unit manages daily operations of Motala's streets, parks, playgrounds, and more. Under our supervision are also the Ice Stadium, illuminated trails, and beaches. We handle snow removal, sand collection, and make sure the Christmas tree ends up in the town square! WORK TASKS We are now seeking seasonal workers for spring and summer 2026! Tasks vary throughout the year, with common operational work including ground maintenance, machine sweeping, grass cutting, park maintenance, tree and forest care, trail and beach upkeep. We prefer candidates with previous experience in operations, maintenance, or work within green industries. Most importantly, we want someone with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for the position, you must have: • Class B driver's license, manual transmission • Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Additional qualifications that are advantageous: • Class C license • Previous experience with summer flowers/perennials and plant knowledge • Chainsaw certification • Brush cutter training • Lift training (mobile work platforms) • Road work experience • Hot work certification • Experience operating loaders and tractors Personal competencies: • We seek a solution-oriented team player who enjoys working outdoors! • You have a natural ability to quickly find solutions when challenges arise while maintaining focus on the goal, even when conditions change. • You enjoy collaborations and easily create good relationships.
