Dormsjöskolan is a residential care home (HVB) for boys aged 7 to 23. We are located in Southern Dalarna, just north of Hedemora, and we have our own independent school. Here, children and young people live in five beautifully situated houses, close to a lovely bathing lake and exciting forests. There is an opportunity for fun activities as well as quiet moments, supported by attentive adults.
Boys with neuropsychiatric disabilities and social or emotional challenges. We are licensed for 28 boys, and our license covers placements supported by SoL, LVU, and LSS.
The foundation of our working method is to create predictability and routines in a structured environment, achieved by providing a clear recurring structure for the day, week, and year. We assess the abilities and challenges of the children and young people. This assessment and the care plan form the basis for an implementation plan tailored to the needs of each child or young person.
The work primarily involves therapeutic and motivational efforts for the child or young person. Personal care tasks are also part of the responsibilities. The goal is to assist the children and young people in achieving an independent life with a functioning school experience.

We are looking for someone who is creative, enjoys physical activity, is passionate about working with children and young people with special needs, and excels at building trusting and positive relationships. The job requires you to be confident, solution-focused, stress-resistant, and possess a great deal of patience.
A degree in social treatment pedagogy or another qualification deemed equivalent is desirable. A background check from the criminal record and suspicion register is required upon potential hiring.
