We are seeking a Doctoral Candidate in Legal Science focusing on health data, artificial intelligence, and human rights in health and care Linnaeus University has a unique opportunity to create Sweden's most modern and exciting legal science environment. The university also has a strong e-health environment, including the E-health Collaboration, a long-standing initiative with Kalmar County Council, aimed at creating a robust e-health ecosystem in Kalmar County with national and international visibility. At the intersection of these two initiatives is an important area concerning legal and human rights issues related to health data and the use of artificial intelligence in health and care. We are therefore recruiting a doctoral candidate under the supervision of Cristina Trenta, Professor of Public Law, to complement and develop the research environment at the Department of Legal Science in Kalmar, in close collaboration with the E-Health Institute and other environments connected to the e-health field. We are seeking someone who wants to be on-site in Kalmar, build something new, develop the established, and collaboratively contribute to building a complete academic environment that makes an impact both within and outside the academic world. Admitted to: Legal Science Location: Kalmar Since Linnaeus University is located in both Växjö and Kalmar, travel between locations may occur. Employment Scope and Duration The position is time-limited according to Chapter 5, Section 7 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100). The position is full-time, with placement at the Department of Legal Science. According to the Higher Education Ordinance, a doctoral position should involve full-time work. If a doctoral candidate requests it, the employment may concern part-time work, however no less than 50% of full-time. Note that a doctoral candidate employed at 50% can only focus on their own education within the framework of the employment. Commencement Start date according to agreement.
