Our client is seeking a Document Control Lead who will be responsible for ensuring that all technical documentation within the BECCS project meets the highest quality standards – accurate, complete, and in line with their technical and regulatory requirements. This is a central role where you will ensure order, structure, and progress in a complex, multidisciplinary project with significant societal benefits.
**About the Role**
As Document Control Lead, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and quality-assuring the documentation process for the entire BECCS project. You will ensure that technical documents – drawings, specifications, reports, etc. – are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with project standards and Final Handover specifications. The role reports to the Digitalization Manager and involves close collaboration with Information Coordination, Engineering, suppliers, and other project functions.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Lead and quality-assure the creation, review, and approval of technical documentation.
- Ensure that all documents comply with BECCS project standards, regulations, and requirements.
- Coordinate and follow up on documentation deliveries from suppliers and internal teams.
- Develop and manage processes and routines for document management – including versioning, structure, and archiving.
- Review technical documents for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure proper archiving and version control for current and future needs.
- Support project teams in best practices for technical documentation and contribute to effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage and maintain databases and logs in EDMS/CDE systems.
- Be the primary contact for documentation-related inquiries and drive improvements in document management processes.
- Participate in key project meetings, including:
- Digitalization Meeting (every other week)
- Town Hall (monthly)
**Qualifications**
**Experience**
- At least 7 years of experience in technical document management in large engineering or industrial projects.
- Documented experience of final handover in at least one complex large-scale project.
- Desirable: Experience with the transition to Digital Twin-based handover processes.
**Skills & Competencies**
- Excellent knowledge of document management processes, versioning, and industry EDMS/CDE systems (e.g., Aconex or similar).
- Ability to manage large volumes of documentation with high precision.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with smart digital archiving as a replacement for traditional archives.
**Knowledge**
- Deep understanding of engineering documentation, technical standards, and compliance.
- Very good insight into documentation life cycles and classification.

**Education**
- Relevant post-secondary education, vocational diploma, or bachelor's degree in areas such as document management, industrial engineering, or construction engineering.

- Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Italian, French, or other languages.
