About this role
District Doctor - Welcome to Boo Health Center!
Are you interested in working in an organization led with kindness, order, and trust in the competence and capacity of all employees? If so, we welcome your application!
We are looking for an additional colleague and also welcome those who are nearing the end of their residency in general medicine! Do you want to work in a team where everyone supports each other? Here, you will find many specialist colleagues with extensive experience and a wonderful group of 12 enthusiastic and skilled residents who could become your new colleagues.
About Boo Health Center:
Boo Health Center is located in Nacka, just a 22-minute bus ride from Slussen. We are a large health center with approximately 80 employees and around 25,000 registered patients, fulfilling the usual primary care assignments (general practitioner clinic, child health care, and home care). We also have additional assignments to care for children with mental health issues, working in teams with family therapists from Nacka Municipality. Our facilities include rooms with ear microscopes, an operating room, and rooms for rectoscopy and gynecological examinations. The building houses Friskis and Svettis, and many employees utilize wellness hours and wellness grants to train there. A restaurant is available in the building, with plans for another. The health center is HBTQ certified.
About the Position:
As a district doctor with us, you will work in your own room where you can "settle in." We provide both physical visits and digital consultations (via the SLSO app Always Open) and phone contacts. You have the opportunity to work from home one day every other week for video visits and phone calls. You will create your own schedule in consultation with the manager, offering great flexibility. While the work is largely independent, encompassing all tasks typical for a specialist in general medicine at a health center, you will also be part of a team with several specialists, nurses, and a psychologist with whom you will work closely. If you wish to work extra at an urgent care center, that is acceptable to us. We offer flexible hours, ample parking, a bike storage area for those who cycle, and a generous wellness grant. We utilize a scheduling system for patients with chronic illnesses, which provides good structure and quality in the care of this important patient group. We have a psychosocial team for both adults and children at the health center, and we have our own rehabilitation coordinator who provides excellent support in working with patients on sick leave.
Qualifications:
You are a specialist in general medicine, or a licensed physician nearing the end of your residency in general medicine, and have the authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare.
Employment Conditions:
The position is permanent and intended as full-time, 40 hours per week, but part-time can be discussed. A probationary period may apply.
We wish for the position to start as soon as possible or as agreed. We place great importance on personal suitability and may call for interviews before the application deadline as we review applications continuously.
Are you interested and want to know more? Don’t hesitate - reach out and come for a visit!
The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
