**Job Summary**
Within Sustainability Climate & Nature, we are working to realize our ambition through the implementation of the Tetra Pak Approach to Nature. This approach is developed based on the results of our assessment of impacts and dependencies on nature and includes quantitative targets and a clear set of actions to reduce our negative impacts and enhance our positive impacts on nature. The focus of this approach is on nature, particularly biodiversity and water, but it is closely linked with our ambitions regarding climate, circularity, social sustainability, and food systems.
We are now looking for a Nature Director who will lead nature strategy and initiatives across the value chain. The Nature Director will report to the Vice President Climate & Nature. This is a permanent position.
**What you will do**
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of Tetra Pak’s agenda related to nature in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead the identification and management of nature-related risks and opportunities.
- Oversee performance monitoring and reporting related to nature.
- Generate added value related to nature support for front-line operations and translate nature initiatives into value for the regions (customer focus).
- Lead engagement with external stakeholders and represent Tetra Pak in initiatives related to nature topics with the support of the team and other company stakeholders.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the company adapts to requirements.
- Foster capability development among internal stakeholders regarding awareness and knowledge of nature-related impacts, risks, and opportunities beyond legal requirements and standards.
- Manage the nature team, ensuring they can effectively implement Tetra Pak’s nature-related strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Liaise with corporate affairs and communications teams to ensure effective advocacy and communication regarding Tetra Pak’s nature-related ambitions and performance.
**We believe you have**
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of sustainability, with a solid understanding of corporate nature impacts and their management (forestry, agricultural, and/or mining-related commodities).
- Knowledge and practical experience in implementing environmental due diligence processes in global operations, in accordance with international standards.
- Good knowledge and experience in applying sustainability and nature-related risk regulatory frameworks, standards, and emerging best practices.
- Good knowledge and experience in the land use and/or forestry sector, specifically regarding land management, no deforestation, traceability, and biodiversity impacts.
- A clear understanding of Tetra Pak's strategy and its implications for sustainability.
- Strong business acumen and practical experience in collaborating with business functions to implement actions addressing nature-related impacts, risks, and opportunities across the value chain.
- Proven ability to deliver complex cross-border projects, with strong collaboration and negotiation skills.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in English.
