The position starts as a part-time hourly role, with the possibility of transitioning to a 75% temporary position. We are also seeking hourly workers who can step in as needed. The work is conducted in shifts, and on-call hours are compensated in addition to the fixed employment rate. Our client is a social and active 31-year-old man living in Stenungsund. He has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair but is capable of moving independently. Due to impaired vision, he needs someone who can be his extra eyes in daily life. Communication occurs through single words and signs, which means you, as an assistant, need to be attentive, patient, and responsive to his signals. Understanding his needs and wishes is a crucial part of the job, and you will quickly notice that his cheerful and positive personality makes every workday rewarding. A day at work may involve: • Encouraging and motivating him during training – and making sure it’s fun! • Joining him for bowling, swimming, or other enjoyable activities. • Being his support in daily life and helping him make the most of each day. • Creating a safe and inspiring environment where you both ensure that “things happen.” As an assistant, you will be present where it matters, and you play an important role in creating a fun and meaningful daily life for him. Who are you? • A social and creative person with a great sense of humor. • Shares his interest in fitness and healthy eating. • Confident behind the wheel – you will be driving his car. • A competent swimmer and comfortable in the water. • Basic knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. • Smoke and fragrance-free. Scope and Work Arrangement: • Start date: Immediately. • Employment rate: Part-time hourly position with the possibility of a 75% temporary position, as well as the option for someone to be solely hourly and step in as needed. • Agreement: Introductory shifts and approximately one month of hourly employment before the regular employment rate is assigned, provided everything goes well. This gives you a chance to feel secure and well-prepared for your new role. • Work shifts: 24-hour shifts with on-call duties. What do we offer you? Recruitment Process & Employment Conditions Recruitment Process We continuously contact candidates who are relevant for a first interview. The position will be filled when we have found the right person, which may occur before the application deadline. Your application will be processed by staff at ENKV Assistans, along with the client and any relatives, guardians, or other involved parties. If the position involves working with a minor client, a criminal record check is always required. Employment Conditions To be employed with us, you must be at least 18 years old, be able to verify your identity, and show that you have the right to work in Sweden. Additionally, a valid BankID is required as both the employment contract and time reports are signed digitally. To ensure high quality in assistance, new employees will undergo a web-based introductory training (approximately 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than within a month from the start of employment.
